FA Charter Standard Club Award
The FA Charter Standard Programme is a core component of The FA Football Development Programme and is designed to raise the quality and safety of football provision and reward best practise within clubs at all levels of the game. Charter Standard Clubs aim to encourage more people to play football, to develop their skills and to enjoy the game in the right environment. It also demonstrates to parents, children, sponsors and the local community that the club has achieved the required Standards.
The FA has drawn up a set of criteria that clubs have to achieve in order to reach Charter Standard. For example, at least 1 person at every age group must be qualified to the minimum Coaching Qualification which also includes training in Child Protection and First Aid as well as undertaking a Criminal Records Bureau check via The FA.
For Royton Town FC this will help us obtain funding, which can only enhance the quality of facilities, coaching and equipment.
